It’s been a busy winter and I haven’t got out birding much since Christmas, but I hope to return in a month with lots more pics! In the meantime, here’s a shot of a beautiful male White-winged Crossbill that I came across in January in Calgary. Normally I see these guys waaaaayyy at the top of spruce trees, so enjoying this one close-range at eye-level was a very nice treat!
