Update from Bird Studies Canada
After five years of field work (2006-2010) by dedicated volunteers, the Maritimes Breeding Bird Atlas (MBBA) is now in the data analysis and publication phase. The species accounts have volunteer writers assigned but we still need species photos to include in the book.
For a full list of photos needed, select this link. To find out about photo specifications and requirements, see the MBBA Fall newsletter for details.
Check your files to see if you have suitable images or set out on a different kind of Atlassing adventure to track down those species on the list and photograph them.
In addition, the MBBA has an immediate opening for the position of an Editorial Assistant to help with the development of the Maritimes Atlas hard copy book and web-based publication. Primary responsibilities will relate to book production and promotion, including assisting with the review of written materials, document management, provision of logistical support to writers, data analysis and review, and development of communications and outreach products.
