Bufflehead | Bucephala albeola: This beautiful male Bufflehead struck a few poses for me, but it should be mentioned that the ducks at this pond are regularly fed by humans and so approach them far more readily than normal. Still, the angle of the sun was perfect in this photo, showing off the Bufflehead’s iridescent head in all its splendour. Ambleside Park pond, West Vancouver (British Columbia), February 2018
