Seeking Manitoba Birders!

The Manitoba Breeding Bird Atlas is once again launching a series of expeditions in northern Manitoba in June and July 2013 and is seeking skilled birders to assist. Most expeditions involve 4 – 6 people and range from 10 – 18 days in length. We try to combine skilled point counters with skilled canoeists and people with excellent wilderness skills on all trips.

These trips offer some truly fantastic wildlife watching and a unique wilderness experience, not to mention a plethora of boreal and tundra birds; however, we need people who can handle rugged conditions. Expeditions that we are still seeking people for include:

* South Knife River from South Knife Lake to the Hudson’s Bay coast (Dymond Lake lodge) – treeline to tundra transition
* Berens River from Little Grand Rapids to Lake Winnipeg – central boreal shield
* Poplar River from Wrong Lake to Lake Winnipeg – central boreal shield

For more information please email me privately or phone (toll free) 1-800-214-6497 as soon as possible and ask for the Manitoba Breeding Bird Atlas.
